" The first release from the much anticipated new project from Washington's number one wine man Allen Shoup. Inspired by the greatest wines of Germany and crafted by Armin Diel, proprietor of the renowned Schlossgut Diel - Poet's Leap shows every promises to become a perfectly statuesque renaissance wine. The 2003 Riesling was produced from the vineyards of the Columbia Valley (29%), the Walhuke Slope (22%) and the Yakima Valley (49%). Those terroir along with the average age of 20 years old vines brought to the blend an extreme profundity and complexity. This 100% Riesling has classic pear and grapefruit flavors which lead to a crisp and seductive mouth feel. The natural acidity well balances the delicate sweetness with an enormous charm. All ends with a dazzling clean and tangy finish which last for a long time."
