92 points "Color: dark; Nose: complex; Aromas: woody; Acidity: supple; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: alcoholic; Overall: rich; Huge Zin, Jammy black fruits and mellow spice on the nose and pallet that matched its rich dark color. Mellow and nice on the tongue. Super glycerin legs on the glass. Great after 2.5 hours open in the bottle. Only downside, as a Cab. drinker I found it's 16.5% alcohol a little distracting as it was present the entire time; upon opening and on the last drop." Best 2007-

96 points "Year in and year out, Turley Cellars’ most concentrated, inkiest purple-colored Zinfandel emerges from St. Helena’s Hayne Vineyard. The 2002 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard (475 cases; 16.5% alcohol) boasts superb texture, intensity, and power. Spectacular aromas of black raspberries, blackberries, and currants as well as floral notes are followed by a creamy textured, full-bodied, viscous red with remarkable delineation, acidity, and structure for its massive fruit and glycerin. This outrageous Zinfandel is as good as it gets. Drink it over the next decade. " Best 2003-2013
