94 points "Deep, bright colour; St Hugo has a long and distinguished history in Coonawarra, and seldom misses the mark; this is an impeccably structured and balanced wine, fruit and oak fused together, and some Coonawarra earth notes making their expected appearance. " Best 2015-2017

92 points "Vibrant, intense and minty, with violet-like aromas of cassis and sweet chocolate/vanilla/cedar oak backed by nuances of mocha and menthol. Delightfully fresh and punchy, its moderately rich palate of cassis, blackberry, mulberry and plum-like fruit is yet to flesh out fully and integrate with a firm but balanced extract of drying, chalky tannins. Long and persistent, it’s finished with a fresh acidity. (Coonawarra, 17.9/92, drink 2013-2017+)" Best 2013-2017
