Tasting Notes:
tasted: November 29, 2009 , Steve Cagle
"Drank for thanksgiving. Decanted 2 hours. I think last rating mixed up with difference Châteauneuf du pape. This wine was not as elegant as first rating. Spicy, a bit closed, yet silk and smooth tannins. Not much fruit - more tobacco, licorice, vanilla, earth, dirt. Less refined. but good wine. "

91 points ""Nice racy fruit--blackberry, plum and currant--is layered with notes of tobacco, dark licorice and sweet earth. The rich finish has solid grip. Drink now through 2022. 900 cases made. - JM" Dec 31, 2007" Best 2008-2022
