Tasting Notes:
rated: October 1, 2003 , Robert Parker erobertparker.com
"A brilliant effort from proprietor Stephan von Neipperg, this sleeper of the vintage is one of the Cotes de Castillon's two or three best wines in 2002. A saturated ruby/purple color is accompanied by a big bouquet of Asian spices, earth, black currants, and incense. With loads of fruit, a touch of noticable oak, medium to full-body, and moderate tannin, it should drink well for a decade or more."

89 points "Intense aromas of black currant, basil, minerals and a hint of fresh licorice. Full-bodied with silky tannins and a longfinish. Lacks a bit on the middle palate now. Give it time to even out." Best 2007-
