95 points "A wine that can be drunk now, but is extraordinarily voluptuous/opulent is the deep purple-colored 2002 Syrah Garys’ Vineyard. Aromas of underbrush, flowers, black and blue fruits emerge from this unctuously-textured, thick, juicy, concentrated Syrah. Additional notes of sweet licorice, wood smoke, pepper, and meat are also found in this gorgeously rich, decadently-styled Syrah. It will provide immense pleasure over the next decade. This may be the finest Syrah I have yet had from this vineyard site. " Best 2003-2013
